Kalmar is a beautiful little city. It is old so it is confusing to get around. The hotel is in a cool historic building in the heart of the old town on a square. Good people watching. I was on the second floor. It was easy to take the stairs right next to my room to get to the lobby.

The breakfast was beautiful and one could find both vegetarian and non pescatarian options. The location of the hotel is just a minute away from the main train station and the view was overlooking one of the squares in the city. The hotel has a nice oldtimey atmosphere and it was a pleasant surprise to find a bathtub in the bathroom.

It has lots of charm and character. We stayed in such a bright and airy corner room with large windows and tall ceilings. Excellent location and had everything we needed. Nice breakfast. The front desk staff was very helpful and kind.

The hotel is in a perfect location, especially when travelling by train. The small park between the central railway station and the hotel distances the building from the business and noise of the streets. The interior design of the lobby and restaurant is moody and accentuates the period features of the building pleasantly. The room itself was nice and tidy, although quite outdated. We did not mind, as we enjoyed the old world charm of it.

Both breakfast and location were awesome. Luggage room secure which we appreciated. Nice touch with coffee and cookies available whenever we wanted. It felt cosy and the room was very comfortable with lots of reading lamps and a cosy chair.

Beautiful old hotel nicely modernised. Single rooms at the back face a quiet green park. Superlative buffet and tea or coffee available in the afternoon. Very kind and helpful staff.Central location. 5 minutes from bus and train station.
