The breakfast was beautiful and one could find both vegetarian and non pescatarian options. The location of the hotel is just a minute away from the main train station and the view was overlooking one of the squares in the city. The hotel has a nice oldtimey atmosphere and it was a pleasant surprise to find a bathtub in the bathroom.

The hotel is in a perfect location, especially when travelling by train. The small park between the central railway station and the hotel distances the building from the business and noise of the streets. The interior design of the lobby and restaurant is moody and accentuates the period features of the building pleasantly. The room itself was nice and tidy, although quite outdated. We did not mind, as we enjoyed the old world charm of it.

The room was great and the location was perfect. We were just a short walk from the Kalmar Central Station (across the street) and that allowed us access to the Flixbus we arrived on from Stockholm. When we departed we took the train to continue our journey. Taking Flixbus only cost us about $30 US each between Stockholm and Kalmar, very inexpensive. The breakfast menu and spread were excellent. The Hotel staff gave us excellent advice to visit an Italian restaurant a short walk away called Ernesto's. Great value and authentic Neapolitan flavor.

Beautiful old hotel nicely modernised. Single rooms at the back face a quiet green park. Superlative buffet and tea or coffee available in the afternoon. Very kind and helpful staff.Central location. 5 minutes from bus and train station.

The hotel's location was great, room was a good size and it was facing the back of the building, so no noise from the restaurants in the plaza (and there were graduation parties there!!!). Breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful. The dinner we had at the hotel's restaurant was one of the best we had during our trip - definitely worth a try!
